OluKai Supports 2009 Hawaii State Junior Lifeguard Championships

After two months of water safety training, over 300 qualifying kids from across Hawaii came out to compete in this year's Junior Lifeguard Championships held August 8 at Ala Moana Beach Park on Oahu. The clear Hawaiian air was electrified with the spirit of competition as teams from Maui, Kauai, the Big Island, and Oahu came together for the day's opening ceremony. Anticipation rippled throughout the gathered crowd as they prepared for the five individual and team athletic events designed to showcase the skills they learned from summer training.
